Thanks to Guy Fay for the reply to the High Crop Cub post.

One of the pictures shown, (the High Crop Cub with the white wheels), shows a Cub with a slatted grill and chrome lettering on the side pannels similar to the 300 series.

I was under the impression that the Cub's all had a screen type grill and decal type lettering.

Is this possably a Cub that was made somewhere outside of the U.S.????? ??

Anyone care to speak on this????? ????? ??

Thanks to everybody. As you can probably tell I am thinking about adding a Cub to my fleet, but I haven't had any contact with one since about 1950.

I'm sure I will be asking more questions,

John,
The bar type grille was added along with the stainless steel lettering at the time the rest of the tractor line got the same lettering. This kept the Cub's appearance consistent with the rest of the tractor line.

I believe the switch from the screen grill took place sometime in 54.

I'm not a Cub expert, but I think later Cubs had grills that more nearly matched the larger tractors of similar year.....
