I took the oil pan down this weekend to clean the
sump and screen as well as put on a new gasket.
I also had to hammer back the drain plug but it
had been brazed up and broke, does any one out there have a GOOD used oil pan for a 1955 int 300
utility 4 cyl gas.thanks.

Take your pieces to someone with a wire welder and have them to weld your pan back together. Go to a plumbing supply house and get a cast union and cut it in half.. Get a hole saw the size of the outer diameter of the modified union. Use the hole saw to cut out the old damaged plug hole. ( Leave the old plug in place and drill your pilot hole through it ) Have the welder to weld the modified union in the new hole. Install a pipe plug in the modified union, use teflon tape as a thread sealant, and now you have a new plug and threaded hole. Cost should be minimal
