My super a hydraulics system is leaking like a seive. I cannot see where it it coming from. Is this a common problem and where is the usual weak spot in the system? Also the engine does not respond well to the throttle. It does not want to idle down when i pull the throttle back.

In the cylinder block there are a few o rings that usually go bad and cause the hydraulic leak. The oil is probly comming out around the hydraulic cylinders. Its hard to see up under there and tell especialy with the covers on the pistons.

Theres a kit from Case you can get that has everything you need.

Thanks for the information. it sounds like all i have to do is take off the gas tank, starter motor, and other things to get to the hydrolic pump and then rebuild it with a kit. I can handle that. The original owner's manual calls for 10w oil as hytrolic fluid. i have not been able to find any 10w and wound up addiing 5w-20. What do you use?
One other question. My pto runs all of the time no matter where i place the pto lever unless i force hold it in the off position. Do you have any suggestions about that.

I use "Hy-Tran Ultra" I picked up at Case. Reason they say to use the 10W oil is because they didnt have hydraulic fluid back then.

Concerning the PTO lever...You have to take the back of the pto off to get in there and then you need a gasket to replace the old one. I had a guy do mine but it was an easy fix. I think he said it was a bad spring in there. Didnt hake him a minute to fix it. Luckly he was here doing something else and I just asked him to fix it and he did. Case gasket is #60 589 DA.

Also, the kit has the gasket for the hydraulic fluid lines when you re-attach the lines.

Maybe someone else has another idea on the PTO?

Thanks for the information. I will get one of those kits and fix that problem. Thanks also for the information on the hydraulic fluid. You have been most helpful. I am new to the world of SuperA usage and am trying to get mine fixed up going strong. Do you have any ideas about the lack of response to the throttle. It speeds up when i push it forward under a load but does not want to idle down when i bring it back. It is verey slow to respond to that.
Again Thanks for your help.
