Had to replace the small hydrolic line that goes from the power steering unit down to the oil resivore under the seat.---350 utility-- Lost a lot of oil. It"s all back together and oil up to the mark.----Nothing works. Assume the system needs bleed. Where would you start, at the pump, at the resivore or with the line that goes to the power steering, or dosen"t it make any differance ???--Have a good day...Thanks.

Tom, when I had my 300U apart and drained and refilled the hydraulics, I found that I needed to prime the system, since the oil has to go uphill a couple inches before it gets into the pump inlet line. The way I primed it was to pressurize the reservoir to about 5 psi using a rubber tipped nozzle from my compressor. Not enough pressure to rupture the reservoir or blow out a reservoir gasket, but enough to get the oil flowing. Worked like a charm. Good luck.

yep fred. I did that as a preventative measure on my 300U, so I dont know if it would have been an issue if I didn't. I did it to give the pump oil ASAP when it started up to reduce pump wear.
