I'am restoring my late son's cub.
When he got the tractor it did not have any of the charging system on it. I would like to put a ALT. on it.
Can anybody tell me what one will fit up under the hood? Thanks Bill

You can use either Hytachi or Mitsubishi alternator on your son's Cub. I am usiing a Mitsubishi cause that is what I had on hand. I had to make my own bracket as there was no generator when I bought my cub.HTH

When you wire either one up "R" is hooked to the Bat terminal on back of alt. and the "L" terminal hooks to either a diode or charge indicator lite(200 ma lite)

Get one made for a mid 80s toyota pick up truck, thats what we used on my friends cub when I switch it to 12 volts a couple years ago. We got lucky I had a wrecked truck sitting here at the house at the time
