Here she is boys. I finally got it running properly today. I had my father-in-law help me out since it seemed like no one on the site was fimilar or possibly didn"t want to help.

I traded a "53 Super H, a Super C (nf, straight hitch) and a stuck H. The SMDTA was sitting for a bit so it needed a few things fixed and now it runs pretty good. I will need to tackle the carb and clean it up. I have to run the gas "engine", (heaven forbid I said motor earlier) with the choke open half way.

I not sure who the Farm Doctor is or SonnyDey. I"ve posted before honest questions and gave honest remarks to others. SonnyDey is someone trying to screw with me apparently. That"s fine, I"ll just change my screen name then. Sorry for the confusion. I saw that the "Farm Doctor" has the same IP as me last evening, but never did any other time. Let me know why this happened before George or Mike.

Some of you guys are some of the rudiest people I"m met. Please don"t respond if you have an issue with my questions. I"m not the sharpest about tractors, but I know that I can learn this stuff if I keep trying. -Terry-

My deapest sympathy I'm sorry the Day and Dey looked the same, it is accully Sonnydey that is the more on. Somebody must have been messing with you. Your tractor really looks nice, and if you need anyother adivce i would be willing to help along with all these other generous people. You must also like green, i see it in the back ground. I have a John Deere A plus money for trade on your SMDTA, my A is completely restored, engine, rear end, tires, you name it. I would love to have your SMDTA also do you know if the T/A works? I would give you $3,000 cash also. I would pick up this weekend. Does the fast hitch work? Again im sorry for the confusion.

Sincerly- The Farm Doctor

I feel also like I should apologize, but I don't know if I'm going to. I'm kinda with Hugh. Whatever. Terry, just put diesel fuel in the big tank, gasoline in the little one. You won't be able to "work" it on gas cuz you won't have any throttle. There is NO governor on this tractor. You'll stall the motor or engine or whatever. I just have a question, if you don't know that much about tractors (which is fine), why the SMDTA? Was the post before from you, or some other guy? I would tend to think you would know a little if you knew you had a 53 SH and a SC with a standard drawbar. I see a 4020 in the background, are you more of a Deere guy?

I have a Farmall- B,H,M and a DC Case tractors,All of mine have gas motors in them.Because I like to do business locally,I use 20 or 30 Wt. Conoco oil in them.I used to think all of my tractors had engines in them too,but not being able to find engine oil,I switched them to motors. It is much easier to find motor oil.At least that is what it says on the front of the qt. bottles I use.John.

My apologies as well, stick around cause these guys can help getting the 'engine' to run on diesel like it should. There are a lot of things that need to work right to get it to change over from gas to diesel and it really doesn't like to run on gas very long. Find someone local that really does know that engine because it is NOT your ordinary oil burner, AND, get all the service and overhaul books you can find, then read-read-read again. The best thing I can say about the work clothes is that the dirt and oil look honestly earned and it should wash up fine. I'm envious.

Terry: Looking through this most recent thread, as well as other threads SonnyDay, SonnyDey and Doctor whatever, may I make you a suggestion. I'm not going into the history of who may have been using someone elses name.

Find yourself a new handle and before you use it, register it with YT. That will do two things. No one can use your name, and secondly everything you say, we know is you without second guessing. I'm not going to appologize like some of the others, mainly because I don't appologize to some imaginary person, and right now I'm not satisfied who is who, and quite frankly can't be bothered taking the time to find out.

I suspect folks who take the opportunity to be rough, rude and impatient during e-mail dialogue are generaly meek and lacking self-esteem and self confidence in the conventional sense. Cyber communication has given shy, back-seaters a voice from behind a computer screen in the safety of their locked homes. To those of you who find cyber communication a way to vent your frustrations, grow up.

That's BS Hugh. I registered "Nat" yet someone else was able to use it. That's why I'm "Nat 2" now.

Nat: Don't talk to me about your short comings, as you obviously didn't do it right. I've had several people try to use Hugh MacKay on purpose, believe it works. It will even deny me away from home until I use my password.

Just curious, how many IP addresses do you have? I have found 3 different ones so far. One in MI, and 2 in MN, but different locations..

Skeptical!!!

Keith

Something is up IP addresses, I have noticed mine over the last few days is showing two different ones and I saw a post by someone else that had the same as my original address. I do not know much about this but am confused as to why this is. I have never posted on any other computer but this one I have.

Think Kim mentioned before that people with dial up may have a different IP when logging on sometimes even though there at same place and some show the same IP sometimes even though there at different location.

Terry:
I'm not sure why your IP address was the same as Farm Doctor. And, I did not intend to be rude to you. We felt somebody named SunnyDay - or Dey - has been messing with us, and we don't like to be messed with.
We all like this forum and we like to be helped, as well as help people. We don't like somebody playing the fool with us with things like Super HTA Diesels. If you were a victim of somebody wrecking your site name, I am sorry it happened. By the way, nice looking tractor you have there. mike

Terry: You have a sharp looking MDTA, don't try to run it on gas, you'll ruin the engine. Believe me, there was a new Super MD sat in a dealers shed here in eastern Ontario for well over 40 years. The dealer loaned it doing work in the local cemetary back when it was new. They, thinking it was easy work ran it on gas until it quit. IH would not fix it, dealer had no sale for it thus he never fixed it. It sat there 40 years and some collector bought it from the estate.
