What can you tell me about 3 point backhoe attachements? I see quite a few little 6 ft ones for compact japanese tractors but not many for for bigger tractors like our 460 Are there certain brands that are better? Any advise as to what to avoid? or is the whole idea a bad one? Thanks

International made a 3 point backhoe in the late 60's and 70's. I don't remember the model number but it was a very strudy and strong backhoe but had very limited reach. Prior to International introducing the 3 point BH we sold the Howard 3 point hitch backhoe. (Made by the Howard Rotavator Company). The International was a much better and stronger backhoe than the Howard.

Hi, I have one built by Vermeer that works quite well. They are not as stable as the industrial ones because there is more give to the three point. Chuck

A friend of mine had a Kelly 3 point back hoe and it worked ok but was to heavy for the tractor he had it on. He had it on a Ford jubilee and he broke rear axles at times and he also broke the rear end houseing once. There ok but can be hard on the rear end of a tractor since they are so heavy.
