Greetings brothers and sisters of the red persuation. I have found an International 650 LP in the nation of Texas. First one that I have seen. The tin is very nice including the fenders. It is not froze up. It is complete with a nice tag. The tires are shot but the rims are beautiful. According to the tag it is a 1957 model. Are there any symptoms with these beast that I should be aware of? Are there any 650 or even 600 owners in or close to Texas? I guess what I am asking would be, Is this going to be a money pit project? There is no rust even though it has sat for 4 years. Love to hear your take on this not so gentle giant. Thanks, Mitch

Mitch The 650 propane is a ptetty desirable tractor for red collectors. Restored maybe 6K. Thepropane heads are often stripped by the pullers. If the engine turns out to be okay you'll be sittin pretty but if you have to rebuild it get ready to spend 3 grand. All the propand tractors I've had one of them being a 650 all had good engines even if the rest was real ratty.I really like those old oxes.

Well let the bleeding begin! I bought the International 650 this morning. I really don't have buyers remorse yet. I think I bought it right. I am in the heart of Texas.(Brady,to be exact) Will be nice to have something a little different. What a beast!

I believe in the Propane tractors chances. If it is in the area of 700 bucks, I'd do it. Not running is the big doubt. tires are going to be more than the original cost, don't buy the tires until it runs well. JimN
