What is the actual spec on the bore of a 248 Farmall M block cylinder without any sleeves?

Call Federal Mogul at 1-800-325-8886 and ask them for that dimension or have your local auto machine shop to measure the block bore. A guestimate would be around 4.125". Hal

I know it is a smaller bore than 4.125. They would be closer to 4.0625.

You can put an over bore sleeve kit in that block
to boost the bore to 4.00" without any machining. I think those sleeve walls would be thicker than 1/32". Call Federal Mogul to be sure. This is the block bore that I'm referring to. Hal

I don't know the exact number called for, but most I have measured were between 4.123 and 4.126 with a few out of that range a little. You did mean the block bore and not ID of a thin wall sleeve didn't you.
