Where is a good place to send my tach to be cleaned and lubed. It is currently still running, but bounces when it is cold. I put my buddys tach on my tractor and it works fine, so the gear and cable are appear to be fine. Also, when it's really cold the tach loops over till it hits the stops.

From what you are describing, I would lube the cable first. Unhook it from the tach, pull the cable out of the housing, put some light grease(there is a stuff called speedometer cable grease) in your hand and run the cable through the grease back into the housing, and hook it back up. If you have a tach bounce this is the first place to start, and the cheapest. Doc.

Any good speedometer shop should be able to fix it for you. HTH

I gave Bates a box of parts and two weeks later got a new looking tach back that worked great for 100 bucks on my IH-340.
