Doesn't the 8-16 use an Ensign carburetor that is the same as, or very close to the one used on 10-20 McCormick-Deering tractors?

To everyone that has followed up so far,
I'm very grateful for your extremely useful leads, & also for your quickness in sharing them.

Dick, I'll try & find out about whether your suggestion is possible.
Thanks again!

Try Ben Kinsinger, 686 Kinsinger Rd., Meyersdale, PA 15552. For a long time Ben had no phone. I saw one of his adds this summer listing a phone number. E-mail a reminder to me after the weekend and I'll see if I can find his number. He list a rebuild kit for the 8-16 in his catalog.

Ben has a phone number now. He's been using it in his Red Power Magazine adds for almost a year. Its 814-634-1918 as listed in his add on page 61 of the January-February 2001 issue of Red Power.
