How hard and how much should it cost to change a 41 m over from a wide front to a narrow front

Dont do it the value of your tractor is worth a whole lot more with the wide front end people would kill for that wide front so if you are set on changeing it keep it to sell, just dont want to see you get burned.

Most people consider the WFE more desireable. If you didn't want to keep the WFE you could probably trade with someone and let them do all the work. That wouldn't be a bad deal for either of you. I know I would to get a WFE for my H. Good luck, Fireman

Where are you located? I'll swap with you if you are anywhere near Omaha. Dick. The job is pretty straight forward, Ive even done it myself.

Jim: Be aware that wide fronts bring quite a bit more money than narrow. Factory wfe possible highest. Several hundred+..

Jim the NF lower bolster bolts directly to the upper bolster plate in 4 spots. I would suggest you place a WTB in the YT classifieds. The hubs, bearings, etc. should fit from the WF axles to the NF axles. My guess would be that someone would offer you the lower bolster for less than $100.

Been there, done that. Bearings, etc. do NOT transfer from the IH factory wide front to the narrow front on an M. I had to buy the narrow front stem with the hubs on it. I have an extra narrow front with no hubs also. BTW I bought mine with hubs for $50.
