My dad bought a Super C at auction one month ago. It has been repainted red with Super C decals. SN plate says FC 186831 J. Engine serial no is 160XXX(dont remember last three digits). Part I dont understand is sn is too large for a plain C, but prefix is definitely FC not FSC. there is white paint or primer underneath red paint on just about all surfaces.

You can tell if it is a Super C by looking. If there is a space between the Touch Control unit and the gas tank, it is a Super. If the tank sits directly on top of the Touch Control with no space, it is a regular C. Also the radiator is taller on the Super. The bottom bar on the center section of the grill on the super is about 1 1/2 inches wide. On the regular C, that bar is narrow like the narrow ones all through the grill.

My uncle is looking for a 16" front tire for a 1952 Farmall Super C. If you know anywhere in the Nova Scotia, Canada area that he can get one, please let me know. Thanks.

If it is a Super C, and a white demo, you have a gold mine...as far as I know, there were no white Super C demos! If you don't trust the Sn#, measure the grille (grill section only) if it is 17" high, it is a C, if it's 18.5", it's a Super C. Pete

According to your serial number it is a 1953 Super C.

All C's and Super C's use the FC prefix. C's are all below 100,000; Supers are all above 99,999.

It wont say FSC, just FC. They made Supers AFTER THE ORIGIONALS, so they kept it FC. The white paint must of ment it was a White Demonstrator.

That Super C may have been painted white at one time, but it wasn't a white demonstrator.
According to Guy Fay's article in Red Power, there is no such thing as a white demonstrator Super C. Only Cubs, Super A's and straight C's made early in the 1950 model year were white demonstrators.
IH was known to paint tractors other colors than red for special orders.
