I have located a C in rough condition that has a duel cylinder with trip bucket front end loader attached. The hydrolic part is pto driven. I want to know what the loader might be worth. I hate to make an offer without some idea. The loader is a Hendrich Mfg. Co one.

A manual trip loader may not be very valuable but it will out-cycle a hydrolic bucket every time. At the end of the day , you will get more done , especially in cold weather.

The old trip bucket loaders are not worth very much. I'm thinking of buying one for my MD, and the asking price is $200, in sound but rusty original condition. It's main use would be for looking at at tractor shows. Loaders for Cs are not very common and so maybe worth a little more just because it is a rare item. I know that loaders for Super As often bring more than $1000.

Just put a farmhand loader on my H with steel wheels the other day. My loader is simular to yours, only it has cables on the bucket rather than just haveing it trip. These older loaders aren't worth to much and I wouldn't allow more than $100 or $200 for it depending on what style it is and what kind of shape it is in. I took my loader off of my M and put it on the H. I know the M handled the loader alot better becuase of the extra power. When I get the M overhauled the loader is going back on the M. Just my personal opinion that A's, B's, and C's are to small to do much with a loader. I would't have a loader on anything smaller than an H. But I don't know how big of jobs you got to do with this loader. Maybe a loader on a light tractor is all you need, but I know you would be much happier with a bigger tractor and loader.

I can't help you with the value of a loader. However, I thought I would say that we have a small hobby farm, and our super A (with loader) has served us well over the years. I agree it's not ver big compared to what's out there now. However, I consider doing jobs with it a pleasure, and if it takes twice as long... well that's just more fun.

Just my thoughts.
B.

It sure is nice though to hook into something with the M and loader and shove it, pile it, lift it, and so on without having to grunt around and work with smaller amounts of whatever with the H. It saves alot of chain sawing if you can move the whole tree with the M rather than sawing and making 2 or more trips with the H or numerous trips with say a super A. Its not just being able to do it faster with bigger tractor and loader but it cuts down on the manuel labor which is the part I like. Driving the tractor for the extra time is fun too but there is always something else waiting to be done if you want to drive it some more LOL.
