I have searched the arcives and not found and answer yet. I have a Super A that was having hydraulic problems, when I move the lever in one direction it would work fine, in the other direction it would work the engine something fierce and the oil would get hotter than a pistol. So I thought, rebuild somethings plugged. I cleaned everything, put new o-rings in, made sure the hydrualic unit was put back together like the parts book shows. Now I put it on, the arms moved in one direction, piston all the way out, thats where they stay. Could I have air in it? I don't have an manual that tells how to bleed it. Does anyone know where to get a good service manual for it, especially for hydrualics? I did not look at the pump yet, it seems to be humming, I will look for a pressure guage to try to ckeck it. Not sure what else to check. Any Ideas?

It has been my experience over many years that hydraulic systems on machines do not need to be bled out. The hydraulic oil pressure always pushes the air into the holding tank and then the air settles out through a breather in the tank. you may have a problem with the directional valve or binding in the linkage.

Try Binder Books.
