Just started to notice the chutch slipping on the "H" I purchased last year. Took the dust cover off and found a ton of grease inside the bell housing. It appears the previous owner liked to grease it. Cleaned out what I could, but I suspect there is grease on the disk/flywheel. The throw-out bearing and fingers look good. Any suggestion on how to clean grease/oil off disk/flywheel other than splitting the tractor?

Took the clutch out of myH in1/2 an hour. One of the easiest things I've done. Use brake cleaner on the disc.Replace the rubber washers at the transmission end of the shaft, also a good time to replace the front transmission seal if it is leaking.

You can take the clutch out of the H without splitting the tractor. After you take out the Lift All hydraulic unit, you can get the clutch out through that opening. I've done it on an M, so I know you can do it on an H.

Haas was that pretty tight clearance pulling out the pressure plate and clutch plate?

Yes, real tight. Took me a while to figure it out. After you get the main drive coupling and the clutch release sleeve loose, you have to compress the clutch and take it loose from the flywheel before you can get the drive shaft out. I got it out without taking out the cross shaft that works the clutch fork. However, I had to take out the cross shaft before I could get the thing back in.
