Greetings:

A few months back I purchased a Farmall A and associated implements. I have manuals for the cultivator and moldboard plow, but lack any information for the drawbar drawn disk harrow and would like help identifying it. The only identifying marks I found were as follows.

On the toothed wheel gear that alters the harrow depth is:
HC3 R

On the bottom of the ball bearing axles between disks is: AO and I think some are P.

There are a total of 10 disks. They currently measure 15 inches in diameter although replacement disks through Case are 16 inches (they do not come as 15 inch for any models). The disks have a 1 inch square center hole.

Any help identifying this disk harrow are greatly appreciated. Leads for manuals would be even better. Thanks!

MOST DISK HARROWS SOLD WITH SUPER A'S WERE EITHER THE 10 A SERIES AND SOME 9A, 9B, OR 9BA. THE 10A SERIES HAD 7/8" SQUARE AXLES AND THE 9 SERIES HAD 11/8" AXLES. THEY BOTH USED GRAY IRON TYPE BEARINGS. THE PART NUMBERS WOULD BE P OR PA PREFIX TYPE NUMBERS. BALL BEARING HARROWS WERE NOT USED UNTIL MUCH LATER OR YOUR MAY NOT EVEN BE IH. ALL IH DISKS USED HAD A CRIMP CENTER FOR EXTRA STRENGTH.

Here's a link to some manuals for implements.
