Just bought a Super Mta and it has a small hydraulic cylinder on the right side. It is bolted to the front of the drawbar and runs along side up to the center clutch housing. Wondering what it was used for and how much to sell it for?

It sounds like this tractor has the fast hitch setup.I'm not sure that is an original feature on the super-mta, but many were fitted with one later on. I think the fast hitch didn't come out until the 300-400. If it's the cylinder I'm thinking of it's used to level the hitch, which I think was intended mainly for plowing. It allowed you to adjust the front height of the plow independently from the back, a handy feature when pulling a mounted plow. I had a 300 with that setup, and it worked well.

I would need to know the bore and stroke of the cylinder but if it is a 3" bore 12" stroke. and it does not leak and looks decent I would say $150. You could go and buy a new one from Graingers or a local hyd. supply place for $300 or so. Those are rough estimates.
