Hi Ron. I have tried two other rust converters:
This is the website for POR-15:

I have also used Plasti-Cote's rust converter. It is available at Advance auto parts stores (and others). This person can offer advice if needed:

So far both seem to work well. You remove loose rust, clean the part, and coat it. It leaves a black, plastic-like surface to paint on.

Good luck and have fun. I have only one H, but it has enough projects to keep me busy whenever I have time to work on it..... ..... ...

Congratulations Ron, I'm a two H man as well. About that rust inhibitor that turns rust into primer, there is some on the market,it goes by the trade name "Wire Wheel" or "Power Sander" at you local supply store... I have an H I call Rusty..mechanically a-one but rusty!!!..it will test the wire wheel market....Good Luck from Mike Soldan in Exeter Ontario.

Ron,

Try gemplers.com, I have used their rust converter on an old and severly rusted woods mower and on the rear rims on my H and liked the results. I used spray cans and painted over it and have had no problems and after a year no rust is coming back up through it.
