Chris,
Per Guy Fay and Andy Kraushaar book Farmall Letter Series Tractors, the brake warning decal is located on the gas tank along with the gear shift decal. The back edge of the brake warning decal is 18 inches from the back edge of the hood and centered. I don't know anything about the patent marking decal. Roger

I have the book myself and i have also seen the location of the brake warning decal. Only OEM tractor parts advised me that the gear shift decal is located on the light bar on not the fuel tank. So i am not sure i this book is right.

One bad thing about the book is that decal locations of M's are not in it at all as no info. is available.

Does anybody know what the patent marking is??
