Maybe the picture was taken with a John Deere camera? :-) It seemed kinda dark.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH I am originaly from PA and don't miss the winter at all. I retired from the army at Fort Hood,Texas and like grilling a steak on the patio on New Years day in my tee shirt.

Spring certainly looks a lot different in your neck of the woods than it does here. Even Winter does not look like that. You guys p o somebody?

even today, Mar 15, here in northern cornbelt there is near 20 inches of snowpack.(check weather maps) So that pix looks like he is just BARELY touching real ground down below. You southern boys don't know what the word WINTER means.(thank goodness?) santa

Where is the picture of the "really big green tractor" pulling the 5250 out of the mud?

Picture I'd like to have was from the spring of 1978. I was driving for UPS in rural Coal Valley IL, (Moline area) My littl' brown truck got stuck in frt of the jd Test farm, in a frost heave. Gentleman with a tired old jd 70 pulled me out. The Picture I wanted was one of the BIG jd 86X0 whatever was the new model, pulling 6 or 7 16" bottoms, full duals, etc. But what MY pic. would show was the 100 ft. of cable out to the 48X0 out ahead of it.... trying to keep the whole affair moving....It WAS kinda slick out in that stalk ground. Real Farmers were 10 days to 2 weeks away from field work.

Ahhh, yes.. Reminds me of my days back on the dairy farm. Buried a 5088 about a foot past the hitch trying to go thru a small ditch to the field. Had to separate the side discharge spreader (full of liquid 'nure) and pull them both out backward with the 1466. Just a good thing neither were far from the road.
