Delco Remy distributor

On a 1946 M does a Delco Remy distributor use the same condensor as IH distributors? The electrical system is 12 volt negative ground. My concern is a condensor for 6 volt system being used on a 12 volt system with a ballast resistor. Help and opinions are welcome.

you need a 12v auto resistor coil any kind will do one off a old chevy or something if not you will burn your points.
