I just came in from working with my Farmall 300 with the Worksave 3pt addon - using several 3 point implements that I had used on my JD - so I'm use to how they react. All I can say is the Fast Hitch with the 3 pt add on is wonderful for grading and plowing. Being able to change the angle of attack - on the fly - is great..... The lack of lateral movement it fantastic. The only "slight" down side is hooking up the 3pt implements to the fast hitch is a little tricky by yourself. Once I got the hang of it, it's not to bad. If new tractor people are looking for good cheap tractors I "recommend" looking at fasthitch tractors and just add the 3pt addon. It is a great solution. Thanks to the guy's that responded to my posts suggesting fasthitch tractors.

I agree with you. We had to pour cement for a new shed a few years ago so we got the family's 1066 and three point cement mixer. The 10 is a two point but with the adaptor, the whole setup worked pretty well. with that mixer turning like it does, I was surprised at how well the old two point held it in place.

I insert the adapter bars in the fast hitch sockets just far enough to hold them(about 2 inches). Then back up to the implement leaving about 1 inch between the implement lower pins and ball socket of the adapter bars. Lock the brakes on the tractor and pull the bars backward and outward and slip them over the pins. There is enough slop in the fast hitch pockets to do this plus you don't pull the adapter all the way out so it doesn't fall out on the ground. Then just back the tractor until the latches drop, connect the top link and you're hitched. Of course the easiest thing to do is to use fast hitch implements. It beats 3 point any day.

I share your enthusiasm for the Fast Hitch "solution" to the 3-point "problem". I'm curious to know how you're hooking up to 3-point implements by yourself. My technique is to pull the lower adapter bars off the tractor and hook them up to the implement separately; I then use a 2x4 with a couple of slots cut in it and a rope to hold it and the adapter bars up parallel to the ground. Then just back into it. Have you come up with something different/better????

To mount the three point implements on the fast hitch by myself, I placed the 3 point conversion arms on the implement and let them rest on the ground. Then I lowered the Fasthitch as low as I could get them. I then backed the tractor up to the just past the tips of the 3 point arms. I then removed the arms from the implement and put the tips in the fast hitch arms and mounted the arms on the implement. I then started the tractor and backed it up a little and then raised the fast hitch - all the while backing up to the implement. Once it was locked in place, I connected the top link. Seemed to work fine for me.

Rather than 2x4 and rope I rest the inserts on height adjustable jackstands and back into them.Has worked prety well so far.

A jack stand sounds like a better idea than the rope. Think I'll try just one to hold the 2x4 up. On my adapter (which may not be the best), I think I still need to keep the slotted 2x4 to maintain the proper spacing between the bars so they'll fit into the Fast Hitch sockets properly.

Thanks for the idea.

If you want the best and easiest adapter you need the farmall factory two to three point adapter,it works great.Lynn lynn@bluebuzz.com
