Recently I posted a message to the forum about when do we take their whining seriously. I got numerious good pieces of advise from that listing. I tried one last night. I told my wife that she was right that I spent way to much time playing with my tractors "at home". So me and the guys where going to get together tonight and go to the local sports bar. I told her not to wait up. She responded by saying wouldn't it be smarter to spend that money on the new tractor you were looking at. I'm cleaning out a spot for the tractor this morning. :-)

Hi Gibby: We all like to talk, and if you listen to us guys I am afraid we will get you into trouble. Roger in his tractor books says to give equal time, and all will go well. Bob

Here is another piece of advice. Make sure that she celebrates holidays such as St Patricks Day, Easter, Father's day, Arbor Day, Veteran's Day, Christmas, birthday, and your anniversary with an appropriate tractor related gift. A set of rear tires for Valentine's sure beats candy and flowers.

And rear tires cost about the same as candy & flowers!

I am paying, we are in the middle of building a new house. It all started when I bought the first tractor, she demanded a add on bathroom. It turned out that building a new house and sell the old one was cheaper that the massive modificatios the old one needed to add a bathroom properly and it would still look badly. So to answer your statement of paying - boy am I paying. In more ways than I care to talk about.

If you got a strong enough marriage to survive building a new house, you'll be okay...
