My wife's grandfather has a 1948 Super A that has lots of equipment and he will use for planting. He has a chance to buy a Farmall 100 (1957 model) with lots of equipment and a locked up engine. My question is - are these basically the same tractor and will the parts interchange? Are the implements the same such as rockshaft arms, etc? Engines identical or just similar. Thanks for any info.

The 100 had more power than the Super A, due to an increase of 1/8 inch in the bore and a higher top RPM. As Vern said, the sheetmetal is different, too. I don't believe the rockshafts are the same, though(could be wrong). Oh, if the machine is a 1957 model, it's not a 100. It would be a 130. Post the serial number and someone will tell you what year it is.

I think that the later Super A was basically the same mechanically as the 100. Sheet metal differs.
