Spend a couple of dollers more and get a better paint like IH-2150 at your Case/IH dealer.

TSC paint worked fine on my '41M just make sure you use the red oxide primer before the red.

I restored 2 MD's last summer and I used Tractor Supply paint and was very pleased with the results. The paint has held up very good. My father was filling one of the tractors and overfilled one and diesel went all over the tank, etc. After washing it off the paint still held its shiny color and did not peel or fade. The paint had been on the tractor for a month or so.

When I did my first restoration project I used this paint because it was being sold @ $14.99/gal
on sale. It looked pretty for a year or two. Now I don't know what could happen to red paint, but the green paint faded to blue pretty darn quick. I only use BPS anymore on implements that I'm trying to prevent rust on, not restoration projects requiring a good finish. I don't use the stuff from Quality Farm & Country either.

The Quality Farm&Fleet IH red is COMPLETE CRAP! I wouldn't even use it on my implements. After a year or so it turns darn near pink and peels even if you put several coats of primer before it. Of course the disk I painted was out in the weather but it's supposed to be "rust-resistant", not for long. Certainly Not worth $4 a can or $2.50 when they have their sale. I heard that rusteoleum has IH red and it's only $4.29 a spray can compared to $4.00 for Quality's junk paint. Rusteoleum's IH paint is sold at TSC(in competition of their own brand).

I hope their BPS is better than the house brand they sold 4 years ago. The latter never lasted a year before it faded to rose with no luster at all. Luckily it was sprayed on implements and not on a restored tractor.

Can't speak to the long term durability or color retention of the TSC paint. It's been on my tractor about 8 months and so far so good. I used the red oxide primer under it everywhere. It has not peeled anywhere. I used the red oxide primer under it. It does have the disadvantage of taking a long time to dry. That is not good for somebody that does a lot of painting.

i hate the bps paint it dries too slow and will afde in 6 months in the texas sun. at least use acrylic enamel from napa .or one better is PPG delstar with hardener.or the techstar industrial enamel with hardner. (WEAR A GOOD PAINT MASK WHEN SHOOTING IT 3-M MAKES A GOOD ONE FOR ABOUT 25.00
