Hardener for Paint/Painting Tips

I'm going to paint my first tractor this spring. I have IH Paint and Primer, do I want some kind of hardener for the Paint or Primer? Any memorable tips before I screw it up? I'm going to try and make a 41 Farmall B look better than rusted and/or bare metal. It has had a hard life but I got it running perfect - ready for another 60 years.

Thanks to any help

All you need to do is to go to any auto parts supplier and buy enamel hardener you would mix 1pint of hardener to 1 unmixed gallon of paint you would have 2 hours of shelf life for the paint I put that on all the tractors I restore it really makes a difference good luck

Thanks for the help. Do you use the hardener in just the paint or in the primer too?
