Bobcat 843 injector pump

A while back I posted a question about the Isuzu diesel in our 843H Bobcat. It was blowing the oil fill cap off of the valve cover. I got a new cap and took the time over the weekend to give it a try. The cap stayed on but still oil going of the the breather tube. Checked the oil again and it is over full and pretty thin. One of the suggestions that came from here was that the injector pump was pumping diesel into the crankcase. I now suspect that is probably the case. Any tips or advice before I start tearing into this thing? I do a lot of mechanical and vehicle work, but I've not messed with the inner workings of a diesel system before. Could it be as simple as a blown gasket or a bad o-ring? What about the timing on the pump? Are there any other known sources to this problem. I should add that the last few times that it was used it acted like it was starved for fuel under a load. I did the standard filter changing and it didn't help, but I suspected a colasping fuel line for that problem.

I've never had the opportunity to have the injection pump off an Isuzu. I've been finding Bobcat service manuals surprisingly affordable even from the dealer. $70-$80 for the models I needed.

It is quite possible for it to be the transfer/lift pump but it's not often I'm that lucky.

I would look at the fuel transfer pump not the injector pump. That maybe the source of the desiel getting in your crankcase.
