Oh wise ones,

I just put a complete Berco SALT undercarrage on my D3B. I ran it around a little to loosen the seals then ran the adjusters full out then back 3/8 inch (I have seen 3/8", .4", and .5" all specified). They seem a little loose to me. I remember reading somewhere that SATL chains can be run a little tighter.

Anyway, the question is, what is the best adjustment for the longest sprocket and bushing life. The pins will probably outlast me!!

Thanks, Greg

You got it Pontiac! 3/8" for one carrier roller and 1/2" for two rollers. They need slack to let oil in between the pin and bushing.
