Hello..thanks for reading. My "new" machine serial number is t16277t, any idea as to the year ?? This unit has a floor shift and the reverser cover only has 4 bolts on the filter cover. I had it out for the first time today and managed to throw both tracks of at least twice, the track came off of the bottom rollers only. The tracks were pretty loose, so I adjusted them up, my question is...the hydraulic piston didn't have to move very far, approx 1/4" to make the tracks tight. I was running out of daylight when I was finishing so I didnt have a chance to run the machine to test it, when adjusting the tracks do you pump in some grease then roll the machine forward and backward a few time and recheck the adjustment ??? It seemed to tighten up the tracks with only a small amount of piston movement. Anyway thanks for the help.....Man can this thing pick up fallen trees...beats the heck out of cutting them into bite size pieces to get them off the cottage road !!!!! Other than the tracks coming off..what a blast !!!

Your 1010 should be a 1961 like mine. You can adjust the tracks in one step I think without running it back and forth. Get them adjusted and then see what they do. What kind of shape are the sprockets, pins and bushings in? Also the bottom rollers and the sides of the rollers?

Greg..thanks for the reply....The pins and bushings are worn some as would be expected. However I have seen worse !! The inside of the roller wheels are not exactly square but are maybe worn 4 of 5 dgrees off of square. The track chains of course are worn to match. This machine will probably get maybe 20 to 30 hours of use per year, mostly pushing snow. I intend to restore it bit by bit and the undercarriage is the only part of the machine that is questionable. Any idea as to the cost of having the chains and roller done ??? I am in Ontario, Canada...does anyone know someone up here who could do that for me ?? Thanks again for the reply.
