The right steering clutch on my 1965 JD 1010 dozer is unpredictable. When cold it works best but not as good as the left. After about 1 hour of operation it becomes more difficult to steer and a couple times when I've pulled hard on the lever it acts like it wants to stall the tractor. At times even warm it will work better. Anyone have a clue?

Sounds like the brake is adj. way too tight.
haven't you played with the adj. Steve
