I thought my Radiator was bad, but last night I did some tests with a hose that had plenty of water pressure and Iam now starting to believe that its ok, and that the water pump is bad. There is a big difference in price on these two items. I disconnected the radiator (and dropped a hose in the top, full blast, she doesn't have time to fill up, the water runs out the bottom so fast.

Then I hooked it up and disconnected the top return (no thermostat in it) line from the engine put the hose in and started it up, for about 3 seconds there is a violent burst of water, then it just dribbles out

Did the same thing with the engine off and there seems to be a bit more water just from hose pressure.

Shoot I wonder if the pump is turning the right direction? as you stand in front of the tractor facing it, the motor turns Clockwise. The water pump rotates the same direction. RIGHT????? ? thanks Scott in wa.
