Howdy all, In the past I've seen a small dozer that's the same size as a riding lawn mower. About the only difference is it's got tracs instead of pnuematic tires. I've never gotten close to one, just have seen them while driving down the road. Any idea of make/model? Year? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Have get up close and look sometimes. I have seen a small crawler made and sold by Sears Roebuck back when they sold kit houses. One has been at the Itasca Threshers and Tractor and hot air engine show the last couple years.

Yesterday at the Charlton Park steam and tractor show in Hastings, Michigan I saw something like that. It was a Lennox Kittytrack. Like you said, it was a dozer with blade but the size of a garden tractor. It was yellow and had a sort of squared off hood and grill.

It could also be a magnatrack dozer which are still being manufactured by the struck company. Their address can be found in the back of popular mechanics... Mike

Go to this site. There are pictures of all kinds of smallcrawlers, both tractor and walk behind.

The Cub Cadet is located here:

And if you would like a wheeled tractor that will do just about everything go here (of course it is just a tad bit larger than a lawn tractor!):

Have fun and good luck and hope I have shed some light on the subject.

I've seen a couple of those as well. Over on the Farmall board about two weeks ago there was one made from a Cub Cadet. A custom job that looked real good.
I don't know that any of these were ever in real production. I'd like to have one though. In New England a lawn tractor is ill equiped to do any real work, but a little crawler would do real well.
