I own two trackmasters made by Fruehauf Corp/D-Fab Engineering. I have a trackloader and a trencher. Please contact me if you have any information on these machines. The engines in my machines are THD and TJD Wisconsins. Thanks!!

I have a Trackmaster as well...and I am looking for parts for it... can you help me?
Is the company out of business that made it? Any place to buy parts? I am looking for a seat, a conveyor belt and some other misc... stuff... My father bought the thing at a Gov auction 30 years ago... it is in very good wear condition... just needs a paint job and some misc cosmetics... talk to me... how on earth did you end up with two of them?

I have recently bought a Freuhauf Trackmaster which has been modified. I am in NE Pa Pocono Mts. My machine has the Freuhauf d-Fab division mfg in Montgomeryville, PA. name platle located under the fan housing which is on the left side of the machine as you sit in the operator seat. From what I have read on various sites, there isn"t much info on these machines. Mine has had the original Wisconsin engine replaced with a 2003 20 hp Kohler Command engine. The backhoe and rear section of the machine are original and everything works good. The front and I think what was removed was the trencher mechanism. I am very interested in getting info on the 3 speed transmission because my machine works great; meaning all the hydraulic components work, backhoe and backfill blade, but I am having a hard time shifting gears and getting it to navigate. I have taken the shifter apart and cleaned it good as everything was "frozen" on the spindles, but I can"t seem to get the gears back in the right position or have the yolks on the slider rods correctly.
Any help would be great! I"ll keep trying various positions with the different components. I might just hit on the right combination to get it to shift smoothly.
Can you tell me if you "pull up or push down" to change the gears? When I looked at the way the spring is set on the shifter rod, it seems as though you have to "pull up" on the gear shifter. The guy who sold it to me said he "pushed down" on it to change the gears. I took picture of it before I broke it down and you can only get it back together one way.
Sorry, I am rambling. Again, any assistance would be great.
Thanks KM

I have two Trackmasters, one runs and one for parts at this point. The one appears to be about a 1954 and has an 18 hp Wisconsin engine. This
machine is equiped with a loader. It has a plate
on it that says it is a Trackmaster and was manufactured by D-Fab engineering a division of
Fruehauf Corp of Rout 202 Montgomeryville PA. It is model #18-WG-L with a weight of 4800lbs. The other machine has a 4 cylider Wisconsin engine in it and has a straight bulldozer blade and at one time had a backhoe. This appears to be a newer machine as it is fully hydrostatic.

I have searched for years to gain information about these units and have even called Fruehauf and talked to a guy that was emplyed there years ago. He said that he heard that they made them at one time, but he didn't know any other information.

If you find any information please write. I will save your information, too.

By the way there is a trailer that is made for this mini dozer as I saw it at an auction here in MN.
