Drove 300 miles to look at a Allis HD11. I want a farm dozer. Everything is there like it has been taken care of well. Nothing is missing. Hoses and cylinders look good. Paint is good. Blade is straight with good reinforcement. Entire machine is clean. Has a 6 cylinder allis turbo engine. Starts good. Sounds good. Steering clutches work good. Brakes work good. Smokes some when started and cold but clears mostly when engine warms (typical old tech diesel engine). Hydraulic blade with tilt - all work. No dents or damage. Very nice and heavy homemade operators cage. Starter cranks well. Shifts well ... although needs clutch/drive shaft brake adjusted. Operators seat is good. Said to use no oil. Controls and knobs are good. Very good oil pressure - 20 plus at idle and 50 plus at mid rpm. Manual shift with the hand clutch. Current owners have had it for maybe 25 years. Used it a couple of times a year only. Just a very nice original HD11. Tracks look like they would work OK for a while. Pins and bushings have not been turned. Bearing seems to be out of right rear where the track arm attachs outside of the sprocket. Owner didn't know this. Shaft is wearing through the round cap or cover on the outside of this bearing housing. Questions ... 1) What allis engine is this??? 2) What is the price range for this machine? 3) What year did they start this style (steering levers come back from dash with 6 cylinder turbo)? 4) Where are Allis Chalmers dozer junk yards? 5) How hard of a fix is that right rear bearing that supports the track rail? If I take care of this basic no frills machine it would seem that it would last me a long time. I hope I get some Allis experts here. Thank you very much guys. andy

I am not sure if the bearing is the only problem. If it has started to eat through the cup you may have rounded the end of the shaft. I had that problem with an HD 20. Parts are not immpossible to find, sometimes a challenge but worth it if the machine runs good. If there is no internal damage to shaft or gears it will be a job to change out any way but not as costly. I love AC crawlers, great machines. I would guess $5000.00 Range give or take. Good luck. I dont know where you are at but Draper tractor parts on the web has a few so does Utah track and welding. Good luck.
