Hello,

A friend of mine is thinking about selling his model 40 w/ blade. Sign-o-the-times! He does not have nor want a computer so he asked me what I could find out about value. Good runner and mechanicaly sound but the paint is a little ugly. If I remember right the serial number is 30036 but he's not sure of the year. Any help?

Steve

We bought our 5 roller 40c for $3000. The engine is stuck and the right side turning clutch needs overhaul.

E-mail me asap because he does have some interest in it and he asked me to possibly list it on e-bay for him. He and another friend of his who knows a bit about crawlers came up with a price of $3900 before I could get back to him. He was told to sit firm on it because it was a pretty fair deal. He's not in any hurry but he will definitly sell if his price is met. It's sittin on a pretty nice 2 axle trailer that he will let go with the tractor if you need it. (I think he only wants $650 for the trailer.) He's leaving for Florida real soon so if you like the price get back to me soon so I can take some pictures to send you. He lives a bit far so it's kind of an inconvience to get out to see him...please contact me only if your serious about buying. I'm in Central WI.

Steve,

I have a 3 roller model 40 that is totally restored. And I mean taken apart to the last nut and bolt. If it is a 3 roller there was only 2262 made. I have $10K into mine and wouldn't let it go for less. It needs nothing.

I have seen them go for $2,500 and up, depending on condition. If it is orginal all the Serial numbers will match with the name plate on the left side of the Shaft housing, on the top of the transmission and on the block behind the hydralic pump.

I will email you a before and after picture.

TonyK.

Steve,
Double check the serial number, it should start with 6, like 60036. If that is the number, he has a three roller 40. Lavoy
