hey i have a 480C backhoe with 15 wide rims and it now has 24x17" tires. itlooks like i would have room on the tractor for 19 inch wides, wondering if anyone else has tried this. i am a little worried about the tire coming off of the rim and stuff. also is there a reasonable way to change them yourself or is just a huge headache. its costs around 50 bucks each to change them. thnx for any advice ben

Ben;

I have a 580E backhoe. Original tires were 17" wide. Put 19" wide and althought I thought there was room found after you fill tire with appropriate air and get the weight of machine on them the side walls rub the side of the cab. Remedy is I let some air out. Still can't run chains on rears if I wanted to. Would like to in the winter when plowing my drive but such is life.

Hope this help!
Tom
