I just bought TD9-91 took it for a test ride noticed some problems, at times, not all the time, shifting gear dosent want to engauge smoothly lots of grinding before geare gets into reverse or foward. what could be wrong?

2. right steering clutch lever stays enguaged when turing right. you have to give it a small push so it can sping back to place wont spring back like left sterring clutch lever. IS this STEERING CLUTCH GOING TO NEED REPLACING.
Also noticed the right break has a lot of play before breaking can this be adjusted?

If I remember correctly, when you disengage the master clutch, if you push the clutch hand lever forward, there is a brake on the back surface of the clutch assembly, which slows the transmission input shaft, so you can engage the gears more readily. My TD-18 has this and I think the 9's have it also.
If you reach the point of needing gears, I have two sets of the main clusters in good shape.
