i am restoring a 1952 vAS AND THE GENERATOR HAS THE VOLTAGE REGULATOR ON THE GENERATOR WITH A WIRE GOING INTO THE SIDE OF GENERATOR, DOES THIS COME AS ONE UNIT OR TWO? MY PARTS BOOK DOES NOT SHOW A VOLTAGE REGULATOR AS PARTS, BUT THE DIAGRAM HAS A PICTURE OF REGULATOR ON THE GENERATOR. THANKS

Is it a voltage regulator or a cut-out relay that's mounted on the generator? The cut-out relays are much smaller than the typical voltage regulator. If there is a resistor on your light switch, your tractor did not come with a voltage regulator. Of course, someone could have added one later.

My catalog (RIE61) shows three auto-lite generators. The later model VTA3350 (Auto-lite GHD6001-SS) for Tractor #5654122 and later says, "includes voltage regulator, the others don't say but there is no separate regulator listed.
