Have a CASE 1370 Agri King with Power Shift.
When clutch pedal is depressed a grinding noise is heard. What is the problem?

You should have the same noise in reverse that won't go away even with the clutch pedal up.Like was said the C-4 is applied and this makes the planetary part of the powershift spin and that is where your problem lies. You will find these planetary gears and drum will be most likely ruined, very $$$$$$$$$$$

That is deffinate split tractor situation and do it before driving any more, it could cause a lot more damage if you do. You will see what's wrong inside when you get it apart. Walt

When the pedal is depressed, C-4 clutch pack is energized. You could be missing all the fiber off of the one ring. That leaves metal to metal contact. You"re looking at pulling the powershift.
