Well, here's the scoop on how the rebuild is going on my Case 350 /188 diesel rebuild. Got it tore down, #2 rod spun a bearing. Shop says the crank is junk. Rod's all cleaned up fine. Now I am looking for an engine kit and a crankshaft. Here's what I have found so far. Can anyone comment on the quality or service from any of these?
- This site sells the kits, which include head gasket set.
- Equipment Parts Source seems to be pretty recommended on this site. doesn't include head gasket, but they have the crankshaft as well.
- PD Mechanical carries some parts, and they have been rather helpful on this site.

Jon, I'm from Marshall County, IN. I got a head gasket from Napa for a 188. I had to get that one cause I torqued the head down on the one with my piston kit (ordered through Case). I stripped two of the head bolt holes in the block and had to heli-coil them. Second time I torqued the bolts down things went well.
