I have a 1948 DC with a hand clutch. The clutch that came out of the tractor is an 11" that is a wreck and must be replaced. I have tried to find one, but the only one I found was for a "foot clutch". I looked in the parts book that I have and it only lists one parts number for the clutch. It there a difference between a DC with a foot clutch verses a hand clutch?

There should be a shop in your backyard that can resurface that for a reasonable price. Just make sure you get the facing for a "wet" clutch.

I have both types. The hand clutch disks that I have taken out are 6 spline. The foot clutch has more splines and the clutch shaft appears to be smaller in diameter. If you have a parts book, you will need one for tractors prior to 1952. According to my parts catalog the plate part number for a pre '52 tractor is 3732AA. If your plate center is good, I believe Don Livingston has new facings and rivet kits
