When I got the tractor, I knew that the guy had put anti freeze in the transmission because he had water in it and it locked up in the winter. Well I forgot it and when I tried to use it in the following winter one day, it was froze up solid. I waited until it got above freezing one day and got it moving and put it into the heated garage and got it to drain. Put in new fluid and everything was good to go. I noticed recently that the oil leaking out around the brake shaft seals was watery looking. I noticed also that the steering shaft bushing was very loose and it looked like a good place for water to get in. Are there any other places that water gets in? Is there a safe way to get the water out of the oil. I have been thinking about boiling it out, but don't know the vapor flash temperature of 80w90. Any ideas, heap them on me, thanks

Antifreeze in the oil, on purpose? That's a new one on me! If your shift boot is shot that is one quick way to water down your trans oil. It will also leak around the steering shaft. Replace the bushing and keep it well greased. Make sure your breather cap is not busted off, and check the transmission top gasket. Why not just change the oil? If it is a new oil change then just drain off the water until pure oil runs out. The thing is if you have run it long with water in the oil it has harmed the lubricating qualities and should be changed
