Is it possible to use the fenders from a D on a DO? I've seen a few pic's of the D's and the fenders look the same as the DO but I'm not too sure? Thanks.

yes they will work except D fenders are not drilled and nuts welded under hole for the fender skirts and other sheet metal as a DO tom

Thanks Tom,

Are the fenders the same other than the holes and back-nuts? Will a semi trained eye catch the difference? I'm thinking it will be easier to find the D fenders VS. the DO fenders.

Can I cross over other parts from a D too?

Thanks,
Andy

From what I have seen a D and a DO are the same tractor, except for a few options.

A DO has the front headlights mounted by the bottom of the radiator instead of the fenders. The exhaust heads out at an angle not verticle. The aircleaner stack is removed and replaced by a scoop on the hood. This is the most identifiable feature on a DO.

The fenders (to my knowledge) are identical to those found on a normal D. They had the option of the full orchard sheetmetal, but most were shipped without it. All other parts should be compatible.

I have been watching for a replacement set of fenders for my DO for over a year now. If you live in a dryer climate than I do you may have better luck. The ones around here tend to be rusted out.

Good luck.

Thanks Mathias NY,

I think your right about the fenders - I've heard there are some minor mounting differences but for the most part exact same fender. I'm in CA, so I hope I can find a workable set out here?
