Just got this VAO51 56004 . I would like to try to reproduce the orchard sheet metal. Has anyone done this ? Is there plans? I am rebuilding the carb and dist. Then it should go! ran when parked! THANKS John W. in BC
Yes, I have reproduced those orchard panels on my 1948 VAO. I didn't have any pattern to go by, just a small drawing in the original owners manual. I know of no plans but since I see you have the rear fenders, it will be realitively easy to shape. There are no compound curves on the side shields. I just went by the bolt holes on the fenders, starting at the bottom and rolling it over as I bolted up the side. I have some pics if you would like, e-mail me [subject "VAO"] and I would be happy to send
