Hello all - can anyone help with the Zenith carb # on an 800? Engine is the gas 251 and the only numbers I can find on the carb body are "4-89" and "14997". I don't know if those numbers are the real deal or not. The shop manual isn't much help. If I can't find the rebuild kit for the Zenith, is there a Marvel-Schebler that works on this engine?

Thanks in advance...Steve

A late model DC zenith carb will fit, but I don't know if it will hurt the HP rating. I bought a new MS TSX 616 and put on my DC. The guy I bought it from said it should add 7 HP to my DC but I haven't put it on a dino to find out. So far the DC will handle 3-14's anywhere around her in second gear and doesn't even breath hard!

Zenith carburator #14997 should use a kit part number 778-611. From what I can find on your carb, it is a service carb for a Wisconsin motor. Napa/UAP can change that kit number to their number.

Hey Steve: Parts Book says it should be a M-S TSX 616. Can't find anything with the numbers you posted. Does it actually say Zenith?

Hey Steve: We had another 1" of rain overnite. Can't get the crops planted, or make hay. Maybe someone else will chime in on that Carb.

The East has sure had the rain the past two months. My parts book also calls for the MS TSX616 - I'm probably better off looking for the real deal, I guess.

Thanks again...Steve
