Here those same tractors are today. See my earlier post and see what they looked like 30 years ago. These two Case tractors are pictured parked together for the first time since they were sold at our farm auction, over 30 years ago. I had them out on the lawn and just couldn't pass up the photo opportunity. It's a proud day here in Northwestern Wisconsin. Hope you enjoy, Bruce.

Bruce,
Those are indeed a beautiful sight! I was thinking of you when I went past Almelund Thursday morning. Do you live near there?

Don, I live less than 20 miles from Almelund. Actually about 5 miles to the NE. With getting across the St. Croix River, it gets to be about 20 miles on the roads. Stop by the next time you are this close. Bruce

Bruce,
VERY nice! I also would like to hear the story of how you got them back. I bought my Dad's LA back after 20 yrs in 2002. Took us 3 yrs to find it.
Dad's 2 DC's were unfortunately scrapped.
Seeing these makes me want to go find a DC to restore. Great job!
Steve

Ted, the SC came with the farm when they bought it in 1952 or so. The DC came to us used in '59. Dad bought a new VAC in 1948. So there is more to come. Oh yes, I have the VAC. Bruce

SWEET! So what's the story on your buying them back? Where have they been for the last 30 years? I love seeing two brothers set up the same. Mine are '54/'53 SC/DC, with adj. wide front. Unfotunately no family history though. Dad's 'bought new' '51 DC is still on the job. Thanks for sharing.

Glenn F.

Glenn, all that about where they have been, how I found them, how I got them back, are very interesting (to me) stories, (two different stories). I have it all written down. I took hundreds of photos in the process of the DC, and am having my Video Buddy put this all together on a DVD with video, photos and me narrating the story. I'll send you one when we're done. Bruce

Thanks so much, Bruce, for the great pic.! It's a great motivator for me to get back to the restoration of the DC I learned to drive on 50 years ago.
