Hey guys,
recently bought a 1975 Case 1070 powershift. I've got a few questions for you though. First, the rear tires are set to wide rows. I want to set them to narrow, but they are stuck on the axle...and I mean STUCK. Any suggestions on freeing them up? Second, lighting. It has a top and bottom light on each side on the front and two rear lights. When I switch the light switch on, only the right rear light and the top two front lights turn on. Flashers work fine. Any ideas on where my problem might lie? And finally, In your opinion, would it be a waste of this tractor to stick with 14 foot tillage tools (disk, field cultivator, etc.) and a five bottom plow? Thanks for your help guys

If memory serves me right one set of lights were for road work and the second set came on for field. Flashers should be off for field. Check your switchs and circuit breakers.

In my area (NW IA) a 5-16 moulboard plow was plenty for a 1070. Don't go bigger than 18 foot disk or 24 foot Field cult. We used a 12 row 30 row cultivator and 12 row planter and it played with those.

As to the wheels they are held in place with a wedge clamp. There should be threads in the inner collar to release the clamp. Loosen all the bolts right around the axle and use the needed bolts to drive the collar loose of the large cast hub. If you can get this loose the inner hub SHOULD move with a sledge or hydraulic jack. If not then punt lol. You will only be able to get those wheels in to 32 inches the fenders won't allow any more.

Hope this answers your questions.
