I have a LA Case Wheatland with hydraulic brakes. It has set fro many years and there was water in the master cylinders. I took both of them off and got one of them apart and got a kit for it. I know I can make it work. The other one will have to be replaced. Was wondering if any one knew for sure where a person could come about one?? Was also wonder what the chances of the wheel cylinders being froze up or still working after all of these years??? Did not want to have to tear in to the drums or shoes if not needed.

If you can't get a new master cylinder, they can be sleeved (stainless steel) and they are like new but not necessarily cheap. I would have thought the wheel cylinders would have died before the master, with all the heat and dust etc. (Unless someone fixed them, of course)

Unless you are from another planet, physically or otherwise, I donít think our internal combustion buddies will talk and tell us their problems. But, on the other hand, there is a secret language that our mechanical companions readily do speak. It is an interesting form of communication that involves all the senses of the listener. In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo. ... [Read Article]
