What is the best way to flush the transmission and hydraulic on the David Brown 880? Can I use plain #2 diesel fuel or kerosene? Can I flush it without using a filter?
Your help would be appreciated.

The 880 tranny housing has many little pockets and holes that hold fluid even after it is drained, I would be leary of flushing unless you are going to take the seat and tranny cover off to mop up everything in these spots..... .....if you have had water in the tranny via the gearshift boots then it is probably worth it to take the cover off and clean it out proper, what most do is just perform 2-3 oil changes thoughout the summer months..... ...and yup its snowing here today so its not summer yet ;o)

Hi, I have a 1967 David Brown 880 w/PTO and front end loader. What type of fluid/oil should go in gearbox and how much? How many drains are there for gearbox? All help is greatly appreciated
